Suit Up

SUIT UP was created for the 2015 edition of Ottawa’s subDevision, “a celebration of site-specific, innovative, boundary-pushing theatre.”

SUIT UP is based on the tragedy of the 2013 Rana Plaza factory collapse in Bangladesh. On one side of the performance space, a chief financial officer reports to his stockholders about a particularly successful fiscal quarter. On the other side, a female factory worker provides stark testimony about a preventably tragic day. Hanging over all of this is an official warning that a class revolution is imminent.

SUIT UP was created and conceived by Kyle Ahluwalia, Catherine Ballachey, Alexa Devine, Sean Devine and Brad Long / Directed by Sean Devine / Performed by Kyle Ahluwali, Alexa Devine and Brad Long / Stage managed by Kyle Ahluwali / Dramaturgy by Catherine Ballachey.
