Except in the Unlikely Event of War

Come to a public reading and be amongst the first audience to experience what will surely be an audacious and provocative new play. Fresh off the success of Re:Union, HHG co-artistic director Sean Devine is working as the playwright-in-residence at Pi Theatre, developing his newest work Except in the Unlikely Event of War.  HHG is considering this work for a future co-pro with Pi.

Set in an arctic world where war and waste are necessary and authoritarian power is the binding force of society, Except in the Unlikely Event of War is scathing satire on the politicization of art and media and the instability of truth.

Pi Theatre’s Richard Wolfe is directing the workshop and reading, which will feature performers Vincent Gale, Kathleen Duborg, Todd Thomson and Alex Ferguson.

Join us for the first public tryout of this exciting new work at 8pm on December 15 at CBC Studio 700. A discussion will follow.
