Three scalding monologues make up Judith Thompson’s Palace of the End: a shockingly funny portrayal of the soldier who took the fall for the Abu Ghraib prison scandal; the dying reflections of the weapons inspector who blew the whistle on government justifications for the invasion of Iraq; a tea party with a mother and political leader who suffered unfathomable loss at the hands of Saddam Hussein.
