Co-Artistic Director Brad Long Steps Down

Horseshoes and Hand Grenades Theatre Company announces the departure of our Co-Artistic Director, Brad Long, who along with Mary Ellis has been part of the company’s leadership since 2019. Mary Ellis and the Board have richly appreciated Brad’s expertise as a theatre artist, his enthusiasm, and dedication to the company’s goals. It is definitely hard to see him go, but we wholeheartedly wish him success with all that he dedicates his energy and skills to. Brad shares the following:“I have had the good fortune of working with Horseshoes and Hand Grenades Theatre since it arrived in Ottawa and it has been a pleasure serving as Artistic Co-Director. I want to thank Mary Ellis for being an exceptional partner. And I especially want to thank our amazing Board, who have been such enthusiastic advocates for the company and our projects.”Thank you, Brad! This past year has posed challenges for so many, including HHG, due to effects of the pandemic. Though currently quiet on stage, we have been at work behind the scenes and we look forward to when the post-pandemic world celebrates theatre in person again. Stay tuned.
